Progam Details
The University of Washington’s NCOR-KUH Program offers an exciting 8-week summer research experience for rising first- and second-year medical students interested in kidney, urologic, or benign hematologic research. In partnership with the UW School of Medicine’s Triple I Program, selected students will work full-time in a research lab under the mentorship of expert faculty. In addition to hands-on research, participants will take part in seminars, networking events, and career development sessions designed to foster connections and support future careers in KUH science.

Mentor Matching
Students will be paired with mentors based on their stated research interests. A list of available mentors and project descriptions will be shared with accepted applicants.
Eligibility
Students interested in applying must meet the following criteria to be considered for the NCOR-KUH Summer Medical Student Research Program:
- Current medical students within the WWAMI region entering their first or second year
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Committed to full-time research (30–35 hours/week) during the program dates
- Must meet the requirements of the UW Triple I program
