Biography

Sangeeta R. Hingorani, MD, MPH, is an attending physician at Seattle Children’s, an Assistant Member in the Division of Clinical Research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She received her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an MPH from the University of Washington, where she also completed both a pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology.

Dr. Hingorani’s clinical research program investigates renal injury after hematopoietic cell transplant.  She is also pursuing epidemiological studies to identify risk factors for the development of chronic kidney disease after transplant and is performing translational research in this area to better understand the pathophysiology and timing of this renal injury and to identify biomarkers of disease. Additionally, she is collaborating on a project with the FHCRC to identify gene polymorphisms associated with acute kidney injury after stem cell transplant. Dr. Hingorani also serves as Director of the ACGME Fellowship Program and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Pediatric CRC at the University, as well as being involved in various national committees.
