Research Interests

Erica studies how proteinuria develops across individual nephrons during aging and kidney disease. Using advanced imaging approaches, she maps protein filtration and uptake in mouse kidneys at single-nephron resolution. Her work seeks to uncover patterns of nephron dysfunction in healthy, aged, and FSGS kidneys that are missed by traditional measures of urinary protein.
