Research Interests

Dr. Sophie Cook has been developing tools for at‑home blood and urine collection and stabilization during her postdoctoral work. This technology preserves protein levels at the moment of collection, enabling accurate biomarker monitoring over time. It is designed for use by fully remote participants across the United States, who self‑collect biofluids at home and ship samples back to the laboratory for downstream analysis. Dr. Cook plans to apply this platform to measure changes in key blood and urine biomarkers to track disease activity in lupus nephritis.
